The Surrogacy Process for Surrogate Mothers
Becoming a surrogate mother is a generous and life-changing journey. At Northeast Assisted Fertility Group (NAFG), we guide you through a safe, supportive, and ethical surrogacy process designed to prioritize your well-being. Here’s an overview of the surrogacy process for surrogate mothers, including key steps and what to expect.
1. Application and Prescreening
Start by submitting your surrogate application. This helps us understand your health, pregnancy history, and motivation. We review your medical records, conduct background checks, and evaluate your eligibility to ensure you meet our surrogate requirements.
2. Matching with Intended Parents
We carefully match you with intended parents whose surrogacy plans and values align with yours. You’ll have the opportunity to meet and build a relationship with your intended parents, ensuring a positive and trusting partnership.
3. Legal Process
Both you and the intended parents will work with separate, independent attorneys to draft and agree on a surrogacy contract which outlines rights, responsibilities, compensation, and other important terms to protect everyone involved.
4. Medical Preparation and Embryo Transfer
Your fertility clinic will coordinate medical preparations to adapt your cycle to the embryo transfer schedule. You’ll attend local monitoring appointments for ultrasounds and blood tests to ensure your body is responding well. When ready, you will travel to the IVF clinic for the embryo transfer, where an embryo is placed in your uterus. All travel expenses are fully covered.
5. Pregnancy and Monitoring
After a successful embryo transfer, you’ll receive ongoing medical care and monitoring throughout your pregnancy. Our team, your doctor, and your intended parents will provide emotional and practical support to ensure your health and comfort during this time.
6. Birth and Postpartum Support
At the hospital delivery, your intended parents will be present to welcome their child. After delivery, you’ll receive postpartum care and support to help you recover physically and emotionally. We remain available to assist you as you conclude your surrogacy journey.
At NAFG, we are committed to making the whole process rewarding for you. Our experienced team supports you with 24/7 care, legal guidance, and the highest compensation available for surrogates. If you’re ready to make a difference and become a surrogate mother, start your application today.
