Our Egg Donor Program, Takes3
Takes3, by Northeast Assisted Fertility Group, is the leading independent egg donor program on the East Coast, connecting recipients and egg donors to help grow families through advanced third-party reproduction technologies. While we do not perform medical tests or procedures ourselves, we work closely with a select group of top clinics to guide you through every step of the process with care and expertise.
Our administrative headquarters are in Greenwich, CT, and we maintain offices in Boston, Washington DC, Atlanta, Miami, and Dallas. Our program is known for the exceptional quality of our egg donors, who are educated, talented, and attractive women from across the country. Recipients are welcome to view our egg donor database and request more information about profiles at no cost. We respond promptly to all inquiries, seven days a week, and are committed to offering ongoing support throughout your entire journey.
Our clients often tell us that our egg donor database is much better than their own clinics’ pools and other frozen egg banks – and they consistently praise our exceptional communication. As a boutique, dedicated egg donation agency, we provide personalized, around-the-clock support you simply won’t find with larger organizations. Each egg donor is thoughtfully handpicked to meet our rigorous standards, ensuring confidence in your choice.
Founded in 2006, Northeast Assisted Fertility Group (NAFG) is the original creator and distributor of the Takes3 egg donor database and platform. The same experienced professionals who manage NAFG’s day-to-day operations are fully involved in the Takes3 program, ensuring continuity, expertise, and a compassionate approach throughout your family-building journey.
Egg Donation for Growing Families
Takes3 is committed to creating happy and loving families through egg donation. By navigating the egg donation journey with the highest degree of expertise, integrity, and sensitivity, Takes3’s goal is for our clients to have the babies they always wanted, and for our egg donors to feel great about their experiences.
Navigating Your Donor Egg Journey
It can be heartbreaking to discover you cannot use your own eggs to conceive. Having to “outsource” this deeply personal and intimate process via an electronic database can feel clinical and transactional. Choosing an egg donor carries emotional and generational significance.
We understand that creating your family should not be reduced to growing cells in a petri dish. We make every effort to put humanity back in the process. We recognize that you are a real person, as is your egg donor. Both recipients and egg donors have their own histories and futures. Your paths come together briefly but will have a long lasting impact. You can choose to handle this relationship in any way you like. You can move on and not look back, or keep the connection to any degree you and your egg donor decide are right for everyone.
Frozen Eggs
In order to see our selection of frozen eggs, click on the frozen eggs option in the database search field. We choose to freeze our most sought-after candidates. These eggs are ready to ship to your clinic to thaw and fertilize right away. Prices and lot sizes vary, so please inquire with Kathy Benardo (kbenardo@assistedfertility.com) for this information.
The Process of Selecting an Egg Donor
The logistics of finding an egg donor are not complicated: you select an available donor from our online database. Takes3 offers frozen and eggs, and the process is different for each.
To get started, simply request access codes on our database login page. Provide your name, your clinic’s name and location, along with your egg donor search preferences, and we’ll quickly send you a unique username and password.
Accessing the egg donor database and requesting additional donor information is completely free! We welcome individuals and couples from all backgrounds to use our egg donation services.
Fresh Egg Donor Fees
- NAFG/Takes3 Program and Administrative Fees: $9,000 (due upon reserving your donor)
- Insurance: $180 for all states (sometimes included in medical expenses; held in trust after the donor’s screening).
- Legal Fees for Donor and Recipient: Approx. $1,800 (approximately $1,200 for the recipient’s lawyer to draft the contract and $600 for the donor’s lawyer to review)
- Egg Donor Compensation: $15,000 for a first-time NAFG fresh donor. $18,000 and up for experienced NAFG fresh donors.
- Expenses and Travel: $0 – approx. $6,000. If you choose an egg donor within a commuter’s distance of your clinic, we hold $500 in trust for transportation. If your egg donor requires longer travel and hotel accommodations, there would typically be two trips required by your clinic, one for the screening and another for the actual donation. These two trips occur about two-three months apart; the second trip lasts about a week. Many variables determine the actual amount but we generally hold $5,000-$6,000 for the second trip; the first trip would be approximately $800-$1,000. You would also be responsible for the fees for any local testing ordered by your clinic. There can be local tests for the screening as well as two-three local monitoring appointments. NAFG coordinates and books all travel and local testing arrangements. Any unused travel funds are returned.
- Please be aware that all medical fees are separate and are paid to your clinic directly.
